Julie Cross is the owner/operator of Golden Brook farm LLC. Born and raised in rural Fairfax, Vermont, as a child she loved to walk and play in the woods with her constant companion "Teal" a lovable golden retriever. She spent many hours exploring Wilkins Brook with Teal, hence the name Golden Brook Farm.

After graduating high school in 2000, she spent 3 years at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado studying outdoor education and enjoying the great outdoors of Colorado hiking, rock-climbing, mountain-biking, snowboarding and road-tripping the beautiful landscape. During this time she raised a wonderful Lab/Doberman mixed named Bela. In 2003, she returned to Vermont to continue pursuing her education degree at Johnson State College and also purchased a home in Waterville.

Shortly after completing school at JSC, opportunity struck and Golden Brook Farm was born, putting Julie’s life-long love for dogs to great use! Julie is now a Certified Pet Care Technician levels 1 and 2.

Julie resides with her partner, Rudy Dauth, who helps as a kennel attendant, and also works as a Musician with local reggae-rock band, "The Pulse Prophets", "The Snake Mountain Moonshiners" stringband, and as a solo artist. He has also played with the Smugglers Notch Resort house band for several years.
